NFL HALL OF FAMER BARRY SANDERS HELPS KICK OFF FESTIVITIES

OKLAHOMA CITY, December 2, 2011 – Travelers at Will Rogers World Airport can now “get in the game” at The Paradies Shops’ new specialty concept store, EA SPORTS™ Experience. Known as one of the leading sports entertainment brands in the world, EA SPORTS in Oklahoma City is one of only three airport stores that will open across the United States this year.

National airport retailer The Paradies Shops and their Oklahoma retail partner Kambers Gifts and Luggage, officially introduced the new concept today with a grand opening. The Honorable Mayor Mick Cornett, Gregg Paradies, President and CEO, The Paradies Shops, Janet Price, Paradies-Kambers, and Mark Kranenburg, Airport Director were among the attendees. The highlight of the event was an appearance by NFL Hall of Famer and Oklahoma State University Heisman Trophy winner, Barry Sanders. Mr. Sanders posed for photographs and signed autographs for hundreds of thrilled WRWA travelers and airport employees.

EA SPORTS Entertainment is one of the worlds’ most innovative and interactive global brands and offers the WRWA traveler a one-of-a-kind interactive sports experience. EA SPORTS allows every customer the chance to “Step on the Field of Play” and play their favorite EA SPORTS games. Gamers and non-gamers alike will find the latest gear from Oklahoma City’s local sports teams including The Thunder, Sooners and Cowboys and purchase games and EA SPORTS-branded apparel.

The new EA SPORTS Experience is part of a $1.7 million retail renovation and expansion project by Paradies-Kambers, LLC. Along with EA SPORTS, travelers can now get a taste of a uniquely Oklahoman destination, POPS; find the latest techno gadgets at InMotion Entertainment; take advantage of the exquisite collections of Brighton Collectibles; and find a little bit of Oklahoma to take to friends and families at Bricktown Square.
