The Paradies Shops Brings Exclusive Brands to Newark

Brooks Brothers, CNBC Arrive at 65th Airport Location

Atlanta, GAMarch 11, 2008 – Award-winning concessionaire – The Paradies Shops – has been awarded a contract at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).  With this contract, The Paradies Shops exclusively brings two distinctive national brands – Brooks Brothers and CNBC – to the traveling public at EWR.  Further, this contract represents the industry leader’s 65th airport location.

Recently opened in Terminal C, Brooks Brothers offers the traveling public the “best of the best” of the store’s legendary assortment. Taking home Best Specialty Retail Brand Operator for Brooks Brothers at the Airport Revenue News Conference last month, The Paradies Shops brings the country’s oldest clothing retailer to EWR offering only the finest men’s and women’s apparel and accessories to EWR in a setting that speaks of quality and timeless sophistication, similar to Brooks Brothers’ off-airport stores.

Opening in November 2008, the first of three CNBC Newark stores will present an award-winning design alternative to traditional newsstands. Airing the CNBC business day programming in the stores and offering a broad assortment of popular newsstand items that include books, magazines and snacks, travelers who want today’s news today will also enjoy an innovative online station. This online station provides the opportunity to check stocks and real-time financial information. Additionally, this state-of-the-art newsstand will feature two exclusive Paradies programs: Read & Return and Press Express.

“The Paradies Shops is very excited to bring these exclusive brands to Newark Liberty International Airport travelers,” said President and CEO Gregg Paradies. “Initial Brooks Brothers sales are very encouraging, and we are confident that our CNBC stores will enjoy similar success.”

Dominic Lowe, vice president, Westfield Concession Management said, “Adding Brooks Brothers continues the award-winning tradition of world-class retailing offered by Continental Airlines to their passengers flying in and out of Terminal C at Newark Liberty International Airport.”
