Jethro Pugh Scholarship Golf Tournament

An annual tradition at The Paradies Shops is supporting the United Negro College Fund through the Jethro Pugh Scholarship Golf Tournament. For the past 15 years, Paradies has served as the title sponsor in managing all details of the Tournament. In that time, the tournament has generated more than $500,000 to benefit two Texas colleges: Paul Quinn College in Dallas and Jarvis Christian in Hawkins.

The 15th annual tournament was held on October 11, 2007, and helped to raise over $70,000. This year's tournament also marked the formation of the Jethro Pugh Scholarship Fund, which will annually award $10,000 scholarships to deserving students at local UNCF colleges.
