The Paradies Shops offers a rewarding and challenging career path. Many of our associates start with us as a sales associate and progress through the ranks as team leaders, senior team leaders, assistant managers and general managers. Some associates work in warehouse/stock replenishment or as bookkeepers. And some even take on positions in our Support Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Learn more about some of our core positions now.
Sales Associate
Sales Associates at The Paradies Shops use First Class Service standards each and every day to assist customers and process sales transactions. A typical day includes greeting customers as they enter our stores, assisting customers in making purchase decisions, answering questions regarding location, price and use of merchandise, processing sales transactions and thanking each customer for shopping with The Paradies Shops. Our Sales Associates take care of each customer and go the extra mile to make each customer feel like he or she is #1.
When associates are not assisting customers, you can find them maintaining a neat and organized selling area by continuously cleaning shelves, counters and fixtures. Our associates are also tasked with upholding our merchandising standards by stocking shelves, counters or other sales fixtures as needed. We believe in our Sales Associates and empower them to perform functions that some companies leave to a select group of people. At The Paradies Shops, our Sales Associates are empowered to check and ensure all merchandise is properly priced and take corrective action when it is not. We also ask each associate to assist in writing daily replenishment lists and prepare order sheets to maintain our core assortment of merchandise.

Team Leader
Team Leaders at The Paradies Shops are responsible for supporting and assisting location management in achieving customer service and sales goals by creating a positive and productive work environment. A standard day includes overseeing the daily activities of Sales Associates and resolving difficult situations. Team Leaders are tasked with the responsibility of conducting sales audits, ensuring that stores meet visual and merchandising standards and communicating sales, operational and staffing needs to their managers.
When not performing sales audits or maintaining shop standards, Team Leaders maintain proficiency in processing sales transactions by relieving Sales Associates for breaks and lunches. Many of our Team Leaders are considered the “right arm” of their manager and are depended upon to supervise and train Sales Associates to maximize our First Class Service standards and to meet daily sales objectives.
Senior Team Leader
Senior Team Leaders perform many of the functions of Team leaders but are also given responsibilities some companies reserve for managers. Our Senior Team Leaders perform functions such as bookkeeping, human resources and payroll data entry, creating purchase orders, buying merchandise and creating merchandise displays.
Warehouse/Stock Replenishment
Warehouse and Stock Replenishment associates are responsible for making sure that each store in the location is stocked with the proper amount of merchandise to maintain our visual merchandise standards. These important associates do more than just take merchandise to the stores, our Warehouse and Stock Replenishment associates also assist in ordering merchandise, check in and organize merchandise and supplies, file shop orders and process paperwork and assist in inventories as needed.
Bookkeeper
At The Paradies Shops, keeping track of sales and expenditures is serious business! Each location has an associate that is responsible for daily sales reports, receiving paperwork, specific inventory and orders, invoices and maintaining petty cash balance. Some locations have particular associates that perform these functions exclusively as bookkeepers while other locations utilize Team Leaders to perform these tasks. Other responsibilities of our bookkeepers include performing time keeping and payroll data entry, processing receiving documents, processing and issuing register start funds, verifying and replenishing cash refund and check cashing funds and preparing cash reports, deposits and reconciling batch charges.
Assistant Manager
Assistant Managers at The Paradies Shops support the General Manager in accomplishing goals and objectives for all retail stores at the location. Some locations contain a mixture of specialty and news/convenience brands. Some locations may have Assistant Managers that are responsible for a specific aspect of the operation such as human resources, merchandising, purchasing, stock and warehouse or operations. Candidates for this position typically have a four-year degree and multi year experience in retail.
General Manager
The General Manager for a Paradies Shops location oversees the operation of all retail stores at a particular airport or resort hotel. This may contain a mixture of specialty and news/convenience brands and depending on size and volume may have additional management, operations personnel and buyers who report to them for direction. The General Manager has full responsibility for all operational aspects of the operations, developing and maintaining relationships with airport management and is responsible for the store P&L performance. Candidates for this position typically have a four-year degree and multi year experience in retail.
