The airport once had to take extraordinary precautions due to a bomb scare. All stores were closed, and passengers were evacuated to the lower level of the terminal.
Soon the area was congested with tired, hungry and irritated travelers – all crunched into one small area. That’s when Carrolyn, the airport team leader for The Paradies Shops, took action.
She loaded up a cart with cases of water, selling bottles of water for two and a half hours. Once the stores re-opened, lines extended past the entrances. Carrolyn continued to offer water to thirsty travelers waiting in long lines and other comfort items.
