Francine Cunningham, a Paradies Shops employee at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, was just about to close up shop for the evening when a desperate mother of two showed up. She needed a change of clothes for herself and her daughter. It had been a rough flight from Houston.
Quickly switching gears to accommodate the customer, Francine had them in new clothing in no time.
The story doesn’t end there, however.
The customer ended up leaving her carry-on bag in Francine’s store. Francine searched the bag and found a receipt from a store in downtown Houston, which she contacted. Through multiple communications with the store in Houston and Francine’s resourcefulness and extra efforts, the bag found its way back to the customer.
As it turns out, the carry-on bag held a precious keepsake: a baby blanket belonging to the customer’s son.
Francine’s efforts inspired the customers to write The Paradies Shops about Francine: “She really is a first-class employee … there needs to be more people like her in this world who actually care about returning other people’s belongings.”
When it comes to going above and beyond the call of duty, Francine Cunningham sets the standard for all employees at The Paradies Shops.
