Christena Dillon, Senior Team Lead at Portland (ME) International
Jetport is our Presidential Award recipient for 2008. For eight
years, Christena has continually set the standard for first class
performance, as her General Manager attests: "She not only
drives herself to perform, but she inspires fellow associates to
do so as well; her performance on the sales floor is inspiring and
her work ethic is infectious. She is cross trained in every aspect
of the business, including the sales floor, merchandising, new hire
training, receiving, inventory, order placement, bookkeeping, and
all GERS related functions."
In 2008, Christena is credited with introducing new and successful
regional souvenir and apparel lines. These new lines helped the
Portland location achieve double digit sales increases during the
summer in those categories. In addition, Christena helped organize
customer appreciation celebrations in our MarketPlace stores that
included multiple local vendors, book signings, and added value
to all customers. Christena even donned a moose costume to greet
travelers and pose for pictures with children during the celebrations.
Airport management appreciated her first class effort so much, she
now wears the moose costume for all Paradies events!
